MAP-i Symposium 2017 on September 14/15th

The annual MAP-i Symposium constitutes an opportunity to better know the research of each student. This year edition will take place at FEUP, on September 14th afternoon and on the 15th. The program (new version) includes the public discussion of 15 thesis proposals and the presentation of 41 progress reports. There is also an welcome session to the new students with the presentation of the courses offered for the edition of 2017/2018.

Scholarships available for MAP-i students

The FCT PhD Program, that has been awarded to MAP-i since the year 2013/14, has been extended for the year 2017/18. Therefore, six new scholarships will be awarded to MAP-i students for this year. The awarding process is expected to start in September. The application period will be announced as soon as it is established.

3rd phase of applications for 2017/18 edition open until September 11th

Applications to the 2017/18 edition of MAP-i are now open. A third phase of evaluation of applications will take place in the second half of September for those that apply until the 11th of September. Please see Admissions for details.

Thesis discussion of José Casimiro Pereira

24 August 2017

José Casimiro Pereira successfully defended the thesis "Natural Language Generation in the Context of Multimodal Interaction in Portuguese: Data-to-Text based in automatic translation" on July 28th, 2017, at the University of Aveiro. The supervisors have been Prof. António Teixeira and Prof. Joaquim Sousa Pinto.
