Dear Students,

As you know, the MAPi Doctoral Symposium, edition 2022/2023, will take place this 28th, 29th of September, at FEUP, University of Porto.

The preliminary programme is already available. The final programme will be published with room IDs and Zoom links asap.

All students must attend in person. Remote participation is only possible for very specific cases,

It would be recommended that student's supervisor(s) be present as well. If not possible, remote participation is possible or a written statement on the student´s progress is required.

Apart from the activities particularly oriented to 1st year students (2023/2024) on Friday morning, we will have two types of sessions:

Pre-thesis Defence: Duration 1h (15-20min student's presentation, 25-30min discussion, 5min sv comments, final remarks). Following the discussion, a short meeting (max. 30min) of the evalution committee will take place. The student will be informed of the final result just after the meeting.

Progress Reports: Duration 1h30min. Each student will have allocated a time-slot of 20min (10min presentation, 10min questions, recommendations, supervisor comments).
