Edition's theme: e-Health

The theme for the 2009/10 edition of the MAP-i doctoral program, e-Health, is an emerging field that reflects the important impact informatics have today in medicine and public health. The current dependency on IT of crucial aspects of healthcare procedures, as also the increasing demand for computational solutions in biomedicine, suggest a continuous scientific and technological investment on e-health.

Thus, the MAP-i doctoral program felt a need to encourage on its students a comprehensive view of the IT challenges in e-Health. In the MAP-i 2009/10 edition, one course will be especially devoted to this theme.

Note: The edition theme will define the scope of the two thematic options. However, it will not limit the subject of thesis.
